Ever entered some competition that you really wanted to win – say, a Skylanders Giants competion (Hint hint.) – That you probably WOULD have won, if only you’d noticed this random and incredibly obscure rule? Well, I don’t know about anybody else, but that just happened to ME, because I didn’t notice in the rules – in fact, I strongly suspect it wasn’t THERE – of the Skylanders competition that I was supposed to leave a COMMENT as well. You’ve probably noticed I keep using capitals. It’s for emphasis, because this probably needs emphasising:
WHY DOES EVERYONE EXPECT ME TO KNOW ALL THE RULES?
I mean, I’ve got to say it, it probably was in the rules somewhere. But that doesn’t mean I’m gonna go and scan through every guideline, recommendation requirement and wots-it just to make sure I’m entering properly. Am I SUPPOSED to scan through all the details?
You know, I can’t WAIT until we have robots to do everything FOR us. Because until then, I’ll have to cope with EvErY lAsT mistake I make. I’ve heard the quote that “the biggest mistake you can make is being too afraid to make one” but that doesn’t really make me feel any better that I just lost a potential video game, toys, and probably quite a lot of blog popularity.
Woah, already 218 words? Sorry, I’m babbling.
Well, I was actually mentioned in the results (“We were absolutely blown away with all the entries we received, which included play-doh models, Lego creations, drawings and even a stop-motion animated video!”) and I’m pretty sure I would have won.
P.S Pity me? You’d better.
